Lahti Precision has been supplying mortar plants and system deliveries to the mortar industry around the world since the 1980s. Furthermore, the equipment and systems delivered to the mortar plants play a significant role in the company’s product portfolio.
In recent years, in line with our streamlined strategy, we have focused on deliveries of the solutions requiring the most demanding expertise and being the most critical for the customers. Various dosing and weighing solutions, mixers and the automation of the entire mortar manufacturing process play a key role in this. Together, these guarantee dynamic dosing accuracy, excellent plant availability with low maintenance and operating costs, and a homogeneous end product with very little loss. This also allows for the profitable production of more challenging higher value-added mortar products.
Pre-design enables optimal equipment solutions and construction investments
In order to achieve all production and financial benefits, customers should contact us at the pre-design stage. In this way, together with the customer, we are able to choose the optimal equipment solutions for all raw materials, and in addition, for example, layout design can optimize the required building size and minimize construction technical investments.
Our long experience guarantees better dosing and weighing accuracy
As the aim is to use as many local raw materials as possible in mortar production, we have accumulated very valuable knowledge over the years about the process ability and suitability of various materials for mortar production. By utilizing this information, we are able to guarantee better dosing and weighing accuracies. This also minimizes the use of more expensive additives in the final products.
Low operating costs, lower energy consumption and a safe work environment with our technology
The technologies we supply enable our customers to have lower operating costs and lower energy consumption. For example, we have developed a unique way to transfer dry powdery materials using patented fluidization technology and gravity. Using equipment that utilizes these technologies provides a variety of benefits in terms of both energy consumption and maintenance resources and costs. The fluid hoses and flap valves we use are completely closed, so there are no dust emissions and the environment remains safe to work with.
Many of the dosing and mixing solutions we have developed have been developed with full consideration of the process requirements and needs for the production of mortar and other dry materials. In this way, it has been possible to minimize and anticipate potential challenges in production.
Our automation system also enables remote services after commissioning
After the delivery of the equipment and systems, we co-operate with the customers and provide them with, for example, installation supervision support and take care of the commissioning. We design and manufacture the AutomationLAHTI automation system for all the mortar plants we supply. It is based on modern and standardized Siemens hardware and Siemens / Windows software platforms. This means providing our customers with excellent local and, if necessary, remote services provided by our experts at any time.
Affordable and flexible Flexibatch mortar plant
We also noticed some years ago the need for mortar manufacturers to find a lower capacity mortar plant that may also need to be relocated. For this need, we have developed the so-called. Flexibatch mortar plant (see example lay out below). This can achieve many advantages over a traditional mortar plant, such as lower investment costs, locating the plant in an already existing lower building, possible relocation of the manufacturing process and faster species changes without the risk of contamination.
